The 2013 Dandy Shiraz was sourced from three McLaren Vale vineyards with an average vine age of forty years.
The wine was crafted using small batch open fermentation, hand plunging followed by basket pressing and maturing in seasoned 3-5 year old French and American oak hogsheads for 30 months.
The colour is deep red with purple hues and the aromas on the nose exhibit plum and brighter notes of juicy blackberry complexed by oak spices of vanilla and malt. The palate is generous with a wealth of dark fruits, supple oak tannins and a plump profile.
